About Me

I enjoy interacting with nature - whether looking at leaves or climbing rock faces. I adore the blue sky of Wyoming, the red cliffs of Indian Creek and the mossed-out trees of Squamish.

I like to explore, and in that exploration, find comfort - a sense of permanence. I often try to be witness to the process I find myself voyaging through in life.

I received my 200-hour teaching certification from Shannon Paige Schneider and Nancy-Kate Williams through Tillai University at Om Time in Boulder, Colorado. I am grateful for their wisdom and teachings.

I studied embodied pranic vinyasa flow - this means taking up space in asanas and intelligently linking one asana to the next, while incorporating the natural waves of movement. Being embodied in an asana is being present in that pose; it means reaching through your fingertips in Vira one as if you're reaching for the sun. You are not doing Vira one, but you are Vira one.

Asana practice is the strength, is the flexibility, and is the balance you create in your body. It is the cumulation of all those physical elements, plus the additive meaning of purpose behind the heat building and muscle lengthening that can be painful.

I believe asana practice has the potential to create community – to create a tribe within the class.  Vinyasa flow enables this by teaching the class to breathe the same breath.
